In the Deathroom is a short story written by Stephen King and is included in the short stories collection Everything’s Eventual. The story is about a New York Times reporter named Fletcher. Fletcher finds himself strapped in a chair in the basement of the Ministry of Information being interrogated by General Escobar, a woman known only as The Bride of Frankenstein and an over excited scientist named Heinz. They want to know details about a revolutionary they believe he has had contact with and will use every means necessary to get them, including torture. Fletcher knows he’s not leaving this Deathroom alive and will try anything to escape.

After seeing The Devil’s Bride the Stephen King office contacted us with this story and soon after granted us the rights to film it.
